Colorway: Autumn
This color is a marled yarn, meaning each ply is a different color. The color of the brown side comes from the “Beaver” yarn run. The brown color is the amalgamation of the color of the natural fleeces, from the alpaca and wool. This is not a natural color for the colored angora goats, the mohair, so that was tonally overdyed to match. And the color of the orange side was all hand-dyed fleeces. Oh my goodness, it just called out to be named Autumn! Smile.

Pendragon Yarn:
Like Percival’s quest, we quested for the best farm grown based yarn we could make. The fiber in this yarn base is grown on our farm and comes from a few neighboring farms in our area. The batches or yarn-runs are different in that they each have fiber from different animals, or the same animals but different clips. The mohair portion in each run, of course, is in our backyard. They were all skirted, washed and some dyed at Avalon Springs Farm. The fiber was then carded and spun at Gurdy Run Woolen Mill. We hope you enjoy!
