Description:
This yarn has qualities of being delicate and intricate, but also big, bouncy and fluffy. It’s nice next to skin. It is created from 3 plies, an inner core that is soft and pudgy, and two crisscrossing outer strands that are silky and drapey. It is hand dyed at the studio by Karen. There are some slight variations in the fiber combinations of different runs. We are very pleased that our own fiber and local alpaca is in a number of runs. Ravelry listed.
Pointe Shoes Yarn:
This is a special and sentimental yarn. It gets its name from ballet. The ribbon laces that wrap up the dancers legs form the same pattern that is on the outer plies of this yarn. We have carried this yarn for a very long time, and are quite proud to say that we were kind of a forerunner of it in this era. It is still some of the only of its kind, as it is completely USA made. Its spun at a cottage mill in PA, Gurdy Run Woolen Mill. We were their initial run, with this historic yarn. We hope you enjoy!
