Color: “Rumplestiltzskin”
Weight: ~4 ounces
Descripton: A super fun colorway. I worked on dying for multiple interpretations of the colors of gold, and added everything sparkly I could. Shades of gold include: yellow, green, and brown leanings. (Roving more glinty and sparkly in real life than depicted by photo.)
Fiber: Blend of several local wool fleeces, Mohair (our own yearling fleeces from our angora goats), VA alpaca, Trilobal-nylon/Firestar, and Angelina.
Carding: This roving was skirted, washed, and dyed at our studio. Then it was carded into roving at Gurdy Run Woolen Mill. It has a very fine, somewhat dense, very bouncy feel. This is a nice soft roving. So fun and fairy tale to spin!
