It is a great little pattern because it is flexible on whether you make something with low sides akin to a tray or higher sides more like a vessel or in between like a bowl. (Written as if most baskets will have an average larger base ~10 inches and medium side height ~5 inches.) Taller side baskets are great for holding everything from toiletries and hand towels to all your crafting things. Lower sided baskets are even made into one-of-a-kind cat beds.
Skill Level:
A person with very basic crochet skills can do this pattern. The challenge comes from working with a large hook and jumbo yarn.
