Description: Great pattern – fits everyone. I say that because the finished knit has a bit of a natural wrap-around you tendancy with an open and plesant drape. This pattern has been around for a while, and photographed on tall/short, young/not, thin/not and it always looks good. It works well with a hand-paint yarn, variegation okay, but medium to low contrast generally. Shawl hangs great with or without a pin. Wear indoors or out in any weather.
About the Designer: Linda, the designer, has been knitting and creating in yarn and textiles all her life. She lives on a small farm, and her family has a long history of traditional jousting – the official sport of Maryland. Linda teaches knitting, and designs wonderful patterns!
Skill Level: This is an Intermediate pattern. The challenge is mostly in the lace work edging, the main body has a lot of repeat. Need to be familiar with yarn overs, knitting through the back, slips and passing a slipped stitch over.
