Cria & Lamb, Snow

$16.00

Our rovings are all based on the animals we raise.  We add in other fun fibers from neighboring farms and farm friends.  Karen dose all the grading, skirting, washing and dye work here on the farm.  Fleeces are individual – age, climate, condition.  Roving by nature is not repeatable, exactly.  Be sure to get what you need.  They are special.  All of our roving milling is done nearby at Gurdy Run Woolen Mill.

Color: “Cria & Lamb, Snow”

Weight: ~4 ounces

DescriptionThis is the natural color of two fleeces combined. It is a baby llama (cria) and an wool fleece.  It is photographed with a traditional white business card to show subtle variance on white.

Fiber:  Our guard llama is from a farm in PA of working guards. They guard the sheep at Sheepberry farm. Our llama and her best friend both had babys in the same spring. The natural white fleece in this listing is from our llama, Mrs. Mandy Snow’s cria. A cria is a term used when a llama or alpaca or vicuna have a baby. Llamas usually live for about 20 years and they only have one baby clip. So, this is definitely a special and unusual run.

Carding:  This roving was skirted and washed at our studio. Then it was carded into roving at Gurdy Run Woolen Mill.
