The Round Table is a weekly Facebook Livestream that I do from my Avalon Springs Farm business page. They are a series of short video presentations that generally last from 5 to 15 minutes long – very occasionally there will be one longer than a half hour, but usually that is on a specific and researched topic.
The Round Table is every Wednesday at Noon E.S.T.
The intent is to have a format that is casual, and, at least in part, interactive. Usually I am on camera, with a family member videographer who can report to me any comments or questions in real time. Often I can address them in the video which turns out to be very fun on my part.
There are several categories of topics covered:
Yarn News – Any new yarn colors, yarn bases, new designer’s patterns, my patterns, kits, additions to the web store or sales.
Event News – Any news on places Avalon Springs Farm will be, in-person or virtually.
Sale News – Sometimes I will do a special coupon, report on a sale I’m having, or even do a special sale just for the livestream
Fiber Art Education – These are the editions that are likely a little longer, they can be on a range of yarn, fiber, color, care educational or public service related messages, for example, color theory and matching yarns or how things might knit up; care and stain removal from yarn, fleece and fiber preparation for hand spinning, and much much more.
Farm News – Any fun happenings about the farm, like: shearing, new peeps, playing with the goats.
