What are the Farm Chicks: We are a group of indie artist, fiber farmers in central Maryland, USA. We all have fiber animals. We all make yarn, dye yarn, create with fiber, use our home grown fiber. And, we are all supportive of each other. And, we all chat about all our yarn and fiber love!
Who are the Farm Chicks: There are four of us. We are four stops of the Fiber Art Studio Tour – you may know us from there. We are: Karen of Avalon Springs Farm (myself), Dalis of Dancing Leaf Farm, Lisa of Flying Goat Farm and Kathy of Withers Wool.
Where are we active: We all have a farm, art studio, and shop where we live in Maryland. All of us have open shop hours at our studio. (However, those are severely limited by the pandemic currently. ) East to West – Kathy is in Woodbine, Karen is in Mount Airy, Lisa is in Frederick and Dalis is in Barnesville. – AND – We are the “FARM CHICKS” Live on Facebook Livestream. We each make a weekly post to our business Facebook pages.
When do we post: We post on Thursdays. Dalis is at 9:00 am EST. Kathy is a 11:00 am EST. Karen (me) is at 12 Noon EST. Lisa is at 1:00 pm EST.
