This show is just a few years old, but it sure is a lot of fun! And, what a great idea – to mix wine and yarn! The show is located on a beautiful piece of property in Virginia, The Fabbioli Cellars in Leesburg. The view is the vineyards in the background, a wonderful new tasting building that is designed in the round and an old historic house with a speak-easy in the basement. However, the “basement” is not what you think. It has big tall ceilings lovely wood accents and long bar. And, really terrific and creative wine drinks. I had a wine drink with an emphasis on strawberry and ice cream – wow!
There are some vendors located in the speak-easy, but many of us, including the BBQ are outside on the back patio and among the trees. People strolled around with their wine, had picnics on the grounds, knit and shopped for yarn. The day was really relaxing, fun and the community was lovely.
